Comparing the optical arrangement of these two lenses (Thank you Mr Gries)
it would appear that the 85MM would have the edge when considering it's
primary
use would be for Astronomy and light travel kit. Many of you have commented
on
the sharpness of the two lens, with a nudge towards the 90MM-especially in
the
macro arena. It would also appear that the 85MM optical layout is very
similar to other
highly praised lenses, such as the 135 F2.8 and the 180 F2.8.
Surely some of you either have owned both or still own both of them and
could
comment?
