Many Tamrons only fit between the Adaptall-2 lens and the adapter, so
can't be used with other brands.
I think the Vivitar Macro Teleconverter is the best, because it combines
an excellent 7 element 2x converter with helical focusing, thus killing
the '2x' and 'macro' birds with one stone.
I expect all the 'name-brand' 7 element converters are about equal in
performance.
