Hi list,
while reading the 1976 Maitani's transcripted interview at:
http://www.geocities.com/maitani_fan/om_interview_3.html I saw mentioned
this "ultra thin 50mm F2 standard lens" which was (at that time) about to be
produced one year later.
There's a picture of this lens and it reminds very much the (in)famous 40mm
f/2, with its frontal aperture ring and characteristic size...
Does anyone know anything more about this mysterious lens? Has it eventually
evolved into the 40mm f/2?
I know this info has no practical use, but I'm very curious about that...
