I need to make a calibration for the printer.....just
haven't been able to pony up $100 for getting a profile made because
I haven't decided on what paper I will settle on permanently, and I
can't afford to have custom profiles made for every paper I've tried!

Do you have a decent flatbed scanner?

If so, you might consider Monoco EZColor. It uses your scanner as a photospectrometer to generate profiles. I think it costs about the same as one or two of your "custom" profiles.

Works with MacOS 9 or X.

Thank for the tip, Jan. I will check it out.
