Well, yeah, if a set of tubes is $30. A few weeks ago when I was working
through my options at a camera show, a vendor showed me a set of 3 used
Olympus tubes: $150. No glass mind you. $150 for 3 logos, 3 stainless
steel body mounts and 3 stainless steel lens mounts with some space in
between. :) They were reassuringly solid and heavy but I passed.
Different stokes for different folks. No slam intended. (You probably knew
that.) Besides, for the same $150, I was a.) able to SELL the 100 making
the macro ability essentially free, b.) have something built for the
purpose, c.) sharper than the Zuiko 100/2.8, and d.) has a tripod mount on
the life-size adapter. <shrug>

But then, I'm the heritic who's selling the Zuiko 28/2 because I like the
$30 Tamron 28/2.8 better! I've yet to make a shot at f2 or bigger that's
sharp anyway. Seriously but maybe it's because if I'm shooting wide open it
means my shutter speed is around 1/30 and I'm not steady enough...
