I doubt anyone would install a 4T circuit for you. Total with parts cost
could be around $400.

Jon M, Chris B, Julian D, tried the 30 sec battery test. Nope, mine didn't
stop after 30 secs. Rats, but no I won't despair. It'll be interesting to
read the website re circuit boards.

So, any tips on minimising battery drain, short of getting a new circuit
board (how much would that cost anyway...and do you all think it's been
worth the expense, those that have had it done)? I remember some lengthy
discussion of this before.

Anyone can distill the definitive tips for me.

New question: I have a lens adapter, goes onto the OM4 to take pentax
screwmount lenses (eg 85mm f1.8). As the auto diaphragm is lost, I 'm sure
I need to set the lens on manual. But how am I meant to do the OM metering?
Is it OK on auto, or only on manual or both? Can't quite get my head round
the logic of what light is coming through etc to figure this out
confidently.

Cheers
