The banjo thing is a referrence to the movie Deliverance, I believe. The
Schnozz felt he was too close to serious redneck country. There are
spots in N. Calif. where the same feeling applies and can be accurate.
An ex girlfriend has a brother who lives in one of those areas. Believe
me, you don't want to be wandering around there without knowing whose
property you are on and what you are doing there.
