OK so the more "robust" Land Rovers are good, but the Discovery is a poor
attempt at making it desirable to those who wouldn't buy a "proper" land
rover because it doesn't have Air-Conditioning, etc. As a result, the
Discovery is a POS .... (IMHO).
It may be a boat on wheels, but it rolls over like a boat with no damn keel
and a 100ft sail. Hideous things. Get it to 30 mph on the road, give it a
quick left-right-left (as if you were going round a roundabout - OK, so you
guys in the USA will just have to imagine that bit, you don't have them do
you ?), and then tell me how safe you feel. Damned unstable. I should
know. I rolled one. Admittedly my "roll" was off-road, and I was probably
pushing it's limits, but I still don't like driving them on the road. Just
doesn't feel like I'm in control of it at all.
