OK fellow heavy-duty flash users (more powerful than a single T-32) . . .

On-Camera Mondo Flash and Flash Bracket Poll:

(1) What flash head(s) do you use and why that make/model?
(2) What is its Guide Number (ISO 100, please specify feet or meters)?
(3) Do you use alkalines, NiCads, NiMHs or a separate "slab" to power it?
  (4) If answer to (3) is "slab:"
    (a) What make and model?
    (b) Is it high voltage or low?
    (c) Approx. how fast does it recycle your flash after full dump?
    (d) How many "full power" flashes is it rated for?
    (e) Why that make and model?
(5) Do you use it on a bracket or directly in the hot shoe?
  (6) If answer to (5) is yes:
    (a) What make and model?
    (b) What style (handle mount, flip flash, camera rotator, etc.)?
    (c) Why that make, model and style?
(7) Have you ever used a "bare tube" flash on-camera?
     (e.g. Sunpak 120J or Quantum Q-Flash)?
  (8) If answer to (7) is yes?
    (a) What make and model?
    (b) With or without the reflector?
    (c) How does (did) it compare to a standard electronic flash

Reason for this poll? I'm considering revamping the mondo flash setup (possibly adding to it), and the bracket (at least for the medium format rig).

TIA,
-- John
