[OM] eBay problems

This sort of thing is not unusual. I've been on the other side, where I
mislaid the letter with my payment, or forgot to send payment at all. In
every case, the seller gave me the benefit of the doubt.

People sometimes have personal problems that interfere with getting the
merchandise out. A few months back I ran into a guy at the Post Office with
twenty boxes of auto accessories he was sending out to his eBay customers.
He told me that his divorce was so disruptive that he was months late in
getting some things out, and had received a lot of negative feedback.

I would assume the seller is telling the truth, and give him or her a
"reasonable" amount of time to make good. But don't wait too long or accept
too many excuses -- you don't have very long to post negative feedback or
register a complaint.

"hi there, yup it will be on its way, I'm sure you cannot have a lot to say
that is good, so if I can beg anything please don't leave anything rather
than negative... this has all been a calamitous dreadful stress full
experience, which hopefully will go behind me shortly."

I won an auction, sent cash next day, waited 11 days, ten received an e-mail
explaining delay and promise of item or money back if I wanted. I said I
wanted the item, and was told that it will be posted tomorrow, with the
above attached.

Anyone else get this sort of thing? How do you respond to this?
