How very interesting....:-))  At least we might be able to use specialized
lenses like the macros and and shift lenses with some sense of normalcy. 
But if it's stop-down metering, then the others will be much less useful.

I had posted a question on dp-now.com on whether the new system
was going to be compatible with Zuiko lenses. Ian, the rep, was
inviting questions yesterday as he was personally going to meet with
the Olympus folks at Photokina this morning. Here was my question,

  I can confirm there will be a lens mount adapter for OM system lenses,
but I don'yet know if there will be any aperture setting
connectivity.

  The Four Thirds system is supposed to offer a lens profile system, so
when you mount a new lens the camera will download a profile
from the lens and adapt its shooting characteristics to suit.
