Yes, and you can end up with such a nice collection of gear that you can use
and enjoy for years or at least as long as they continue to make film and
your eyesight holds up. I was thinking about this earlier in the morning as
I sat staring at my new computer that I spent about $5,000 on over the past
year or so. The same amount spent on Olympus OM equipment "bought right"
would likely still be worth the $5,000 or perhaps a bit more depending on the
percentage of Fang involved. The computer might be worth half what I paid
for it. One was bleeding edge technology a year ago, the other can only be
described as "classic." Now I don't want anybody to stop saving/investing
for that "rainy day". As I reflect on the enjoyment I get from my avocation
and the joy I get to share with others through it, I'm grateful for it and I
know that others will be long after all my rainy days have passed. It is
something I share with my children and will someday share with my
grandchildren that will potentially ripple out way beyond the confines of now
and today. So folks, load up, burn some film and create some images to share
with others. This is part of your legacy to the world. Have a wonderful
day, it is meant to be so. Bill Barber

PS: Please feel free to share this with your non-OM partner in their times of
doubt.
