The development of sharp high-speed films reduced the need for fast lenses,
while the development of good-quality zoom lenses largely eliminated the
possibility of buying fast lenses. The compact f/2 lenses Olympus produced
over the 21mm to 100mm will therefore stand as something of an optical
high-water mark for a long time to come. Young'uns who aren't impressed by
an XA or SX-70 are likely to be awed by your 21/2.

By the way, if you haven't read the editorial on the main page of
www.photovisionmagazine.com, please do so. It is a classic example of
pretentious, vacuous writing.

There's a table of contents for the current issue that lists the "End of OM"
article, but there's no link to it or any other article. This seems to be
"look but don't touch" site.
