Seems I was a little out in my guess at dating - try
http://www.activemind.com/Mysterious/Topics/Stonehenge/ as one of the many
information sites available. A fasinating place well worth a visit although
nowadays you can't get in to touch the stones. Back in the late 60's the
place was totally open, we even managed to camp the night!

I hope nobody objects to a little offbeat humour applied to what was an off
subject topic :-)
