I realize that we usually talk OM, but I think that
this is at least related to the plastic/metal
discussion in some way. My father's Olympus Stylus
Zoom 105 died recently. It sits there and zooms the
lens in and out and refuses to take a picture. The
camera shop quoted a repair price roughly equal to the
cost of a new one, so he just ordered a C*n*n P&S zoom
(I know, sacrilage!) off of amazon.com.
My question to the list is, is there anything creative
and useful that can be done with this broken camera?
He gave the body to me because he didn't like the idea
of just throwing it away. I'm trying to think of some
possible use for the lens or the elements of the lens.
You're a creative bunch of guys, any ideas?
