For years, we have been feeding, contrary to the advice of supposedly more
sensible and definitely less adventurous people, raccoons who visit our
deck (we live in the woods). Last night, a mama and her four babies
appeared just after dark. They are just absolutely too cute for words.

I am preparing for tonight. I've charged the Quantum Turbo battery, and it
is attached to a T45 on an OM-4Ti+MD2+Tamron 28-105/2.8 combo, loaded with
Fuji Provia 100F. Mama will take food from our hands, but the babies are a
bit skittish. Even so, I figure I'll be able to get within 10 or 12 feet
of the buffet we'll be setting out for them. Last night, we had
thunderstorms, and the lightning didn't seem to bother them, so maybe the
flash won't either.

Sometimes photography is just way too much fun.

Walt
