They're pretty robust in my experience; I've bashed the mirror into one
when the focus screen came loose and fell down unexpectedly, with no ill
effects to either. Even if it did somehow crack, there's still the metal
frame to keep it in place, so you should be able to keep going until you can
get a replacement sorted out.
