Thanks Bruce (and the other poster - sorry I am "flying" through the mail here), that could be the one.
Cheers,
Lee

Hi Lee,

I think I know the ad to which you refer, which is commonly found in many
photography magazines these days. The tripod in question is the Bogen 3001
Pro (Manfrotto 190 Pro). The legs can be spread wide enough that the tripod
almost lays flat. The centre column can be removed and attached horizontally
for macro work. These tripods are a fairly good deal if you use light
equipment (up to 11 lbs). Good for hiking as the tripod weighs a bit over 3
lbs. I recently bought one in a kit with a Manfrotto 141 tilt-pan head for a
little under $200 CDN. I find that it is solid enough, although I probably
wouldn't raise it to full height with anything close to its maximum 11 lb
load.

Hope this helps,

Bruce
