Seems most unlikely; the 80-200/2.8 is better than any similar range Zuiko
zoom. Perhaps you are confusing it with an older 80-200 f4.5 or similar.
the 80-200/f2.8 also costs about 8-10 times as much as an OM-10.......

I've had problems with this lens too (Tamron 80-200/2.8). I got it given
along with an
OM-10. I've only used it on a few occasions and didn't like it as much
as the Zuikos (obviously!). Every time I looked through the viewfinder
I had to move my eye around to stop the bottom half of the split screen
viewfinder from becoming black. Not completely sure if this the same
problem but it is very annoying.
