On Sunday last my grandson was baptized. I shot the ceremony with my OM-4t,
F280 and 35-70/3.6 on Portra 400NC. Set the F280 on Auto mode.

I am really pleased on several fronts. The exposures are dead-on. The F280
put out plenty of light to properly light the sanctuary. Even from 15 or 20
feet away the combination of the flash and the ambient light in the church
lends a warm glow to the scene.

The 35-70/3.6 at f5.6 produced some very sharp photos. It is easy to use
and snaps into focus very readily for me.

I also shot an available light photo of the large mural of THE SACRED HEART
hanging behind the altar. I think it was at 1/60th and f3.6. For a
handheld shot it is really nice and once again the OM-4t metering system
worked great. I didn't spot meter, just let the averaging meter do it's
thing,

Finally, the Portra 400NC is surprisingly fine grained. Looking at it
through a loupe at the pro-lab, one could see no discernable grain with a 10
power loupe. Color saturation and accuracy are really nice.

All in all the event was sweet and the photos are a hit with my son and his
wife. The CDFO approves also, lending credence to why I had to have this
equipment to begin with.
