For seismic mass, I keep my Soligor 70-220/3.5 around. Weighs about three
and a half tons...

As regards the 35-70/3.6, I don't find the weight objectional. One of the
factors regarding weight that we seem to overlook in these threads is the
stability one gets with a slightly heavier lens, camera combination.

I thinks the superior optical performance of the 3.6 outweighs the little
extra weight involved. Just my 2 cents worth.
