Just to add a small addition to Mike's explanation: Part of the tab on
a Olympus series 2 screen will have been removed to make it fit an
OM2. If it is a 2-xx screen, the type number may not be clear, but
then there will almost certainly be tool marks on the tab.
If the screen is one of the regular 1-xx screens, the camera may need
an overhaul. Olympus in Denmark adjusted shutter and light meter on
my OM2n with similar symptoms just a few months ago. Cost was a
bit over 1200DKK.
