Last Friday I stopped in one of our local camera shops to pick up a slide
storage box. While there I discovered in their used camera case a #4 TTL
auto connector LNIB for $9.00 which I bought. But, also they had an OM-10
with a 35-70 f3.6 (no hood) attached. The price for the OM-10 (in very
good condition with new foam) was $175.00! Whew!! But, the price for the
35-70 was $90.00. Since I already have one, I passed. Also, they had a
very nice, in the box, Zuiko 100 f2.8 for $110.00. Since I wasn't familiar
with the value of the 100 I also passed on it. After checking the e-bay
prices for the 100, decided it was a pretty good deal as well.

After a sleepless night (am I the only one that has dreams about cameras?)
and the green light from the wife, I was waiting at the store the next
morning when they opened and bought both lenses. I even talked them into a
10 0iscount for taking that outdated Olympus stuff off their hands.

The 100mm has a little dust and what looks like a piece of white lint (very
small). Doesn't look like fungus to me. The 35-70 looks good and is clean
& clear, but there is a little play in the focus/zoom/aperture barrel. Does
anyone know what's involved to tighten this up? John or Clint maybe? The
focus and zoom is nice and smooth. The actual lens barrel and mount is
tight. Does this make sense?

Anyway, I wanted to relay to the list my good fortune. Is this maybe a
small fang? Do I really need two 35-70 f3.6 zooms? I think I know the
answer to that. :)

Regards,

John
