The picture that Henrik mailed to me for the Xmas xchange arrived today. It's
an excellent picture, and in excellent shape despite the long time in transit.
One curious part is the postal cancellations. Over the stamps is a series of
round cancellation marks, which have the date 2001-12-13. In the top right
corner is another mark, which consists rectangular box with three crowns, and a
circle with a crown and horn. under the circle is the date 2001 01 13. Now,
Henrik could not possibly have mailed this last January, so either it's not a
date, or the date is wrong. It could be that the 01 should be 12, but I like to
think that the 2001 should really be 2002, and that the letter sat in the post
office for a month before being shipped overseas.
Either way, it's a fine picture. Thank you, Henrik.
