The best ones for the tele's with built in hoods are the caps
that are all black and have the serated edges - the hood
slides over them reducing the likelihood of the cap being
knocked off ... IMHO.

Speaking of lenscaps, real lenscaps, real Olympus lenscaps, I have
come to realize over the years that there are two kinds: thin ones
and thick ones. The thin ones are the best; the thick ones are a
pain in the ass, contributing mightily to much fumbling around and
cussing. The skinny ones pop off easily, but the fat ones defy
the deftness of my decreasingly nimble digits sometimes,
especially on lenses with built-in hoods (100/2, 180/2.8, 300/4.5,
etc.) and make me use intemperate language. Why is this? The
lens caps, I mean, not the language.

As for the most used lens -- I've got Zuikos from the 21/2 to the
400/6.3 and the 500/8 -- but the 35-105/3.5-4.5 gets the most
use. Time was, I hated zoom lenses, wouldn't use anything but
primes, said as much out loud to lots of folks who used them. But
the years seem to have mellowed me, or maybe I'm just getting lazy
in my old age. Anyway, this lens pretty much stays on my most-
used body, an OM-4Ti. I think it's the best performer of the
Zuiko zooms, better even than the 35-80/2.8, which is a great
lens, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper, plus it doesn't add an odd
filter size to the lineup. And anybody who says they can tell the
difference between a 2.8 and a 3.5 lens looking through the
viewfinder has eyes better than mine or is just -- Never mind.
