RE: [OM] Alternate focussing screen (was: Beattie Out of Business ?)

I missed this thread. Sorry, but could I get a recap on this topic? 

Is the 1-13 focusing screen a favorite for all around photography? I've
used something like the 1-10 (matte and checker grid) but never the
split/matte combo.
