Bill,

What do you want to do as far as macro work goes? This will largely
determine what lens you ought to get. For use with the 65-116 tube I
don't think you would find the 50 macro all that great. It does not have
a lot of working distance. It's real forte is as a light, compact macro
'system' that is easy to have with you all the time. It will focus as
close as .23 meters by itself, something like 10 inches or so. It will
get you a 1/2 lifesize image. Add a 25mm extension tube and you get 1:1
reproduction.

The 80/4 lens' forte is macro reproduction in the 1:1 range. It is
especially good for photographing flat items, stamps, slide copying,
ect. With the 65-116 tube set you will have a reproduction ratio from
1/2 life size to just a bit over lifesize.

The 135 macro gives you essentially the same reporduction range as the
50 (up to 1/2 life size) but with a much greater working distance. This
is real handy for flowers, insects, ect. As a bonus the lesn will focus
at infinity on the 65-116 tubes so it will function as a standard 135!

A combo that would cover just about anything you could ever want to do
macro wise would be to use the 65-116 tube with BOTH the 80/4 AND the
135/4.5. Add the Close-up lens 80mm to the 80/5 and you can get to 2X. A
true Zuikoholic solution!
