Now here's a funny thing...
I unloaded my latest film from my OM1 the other night, and did my usual clean
around and inspection inside.
Since there had recently been a posting on how to decode the date code inside
the camera, I eased off the pressure plate and had a look. I can see the code:
S136.
>From the posting I interpret this as being: Factory "S" , Pressure plate 6,
>and manufacture March 1981.
The only thing is, I bought this camera new in January 1979. And by 1981 only
the OM1n was being made.
The camera has only been out of my sight once, for a CLA last year, and I know
from the scratch on the paint of the back that the back hasn't been swopped.
Have I misunderstood the code?
