Rich,

I have a waist-length vest that is not purpose-made as a photo vest, but
works pretty good. Woolrich makes it. I have seen several others like it
in camping equipment stores like EMS or Ramsey Outdoor Stoor here in NY/NJ.
As I said, they are more designed as travel or hiking vests, so the pockets
aren't quite as large as a true photo vest, but there are many of them.

LL Bean used to make a waist length photo vest - they called it the "Lefty
Kreh" (?) vest. I know this because I almost bought the last unsold one they
had at their outlet store in Maine several years back. Had to turn it down
because it was a small :-(
but it certainly was the right idea. Wish they would bring it back.

I don't understand why Domke doesn't make a waist-length version of their
vest. I use one of the larger photo backpacks, and I don't know how the
waist belt could fit comfortably over a vest that goes to mid-thigh on me.

Regards,

Greg Logiodice
