Went down to my local camera shop and bought a couple batteries, slipped 'em into the cam over a beer at O'reillys Pub and Hot-Damn, the things works.

Still. going to take it with tomorrow for a trip up to Tamborine Mountain and see what we see.

While at the shopping centre, I took a few shots, and the shutter stayed open for about 4 secs before closing again on the last one I took. . Not sure if that was just a momentary glitch or what. I guess, this cam hasn't had any juice for several years now, so who knows.

I'll know when I take the roll in.

Cheers guys/gals

Definitely get yourself a set of fresh batteries (357 or SR44 - just make
sure they are silver oxides, not alkalines or lithiums, and that they are
fresh!). Just because the batteries you are using have enough oomph to
power your OM-10 doesn't necessarily mean they are adequate for the
OM-2SP.

The self timer being apparently damaged could also be a culprit,
especially if there is a short or something.

Hope this helps,
