Varies. Some do true 600x600, some 1200x1200, some less.

You also lose by going thru another analog generation and enduring
the losses of another lens' problems & also the dynamic limits of
reflective material and a less than perfect base.
Quality does suffer!

800 wide is usually enough, tho my screen is 1600x1200.
