It sounds as though the shutter ring is one 'stop' out of sync with the
actual speeds. Can you turn it past 'B'? What happens at the 1/1000 end?

I had this idea as well.
I can't turn it past 'B'.
And I can turn it all up to 1/1000.
So, mechanically, it does not seem that the ring is one stop out of sync.
Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
