Hi Bernard,
I've had both the OM 200F5.0 and 180F2.8, but NOT the Vivitar 200F3.5. I
found the 200F5.0 far too SLOW to be easily used as the finder is dim!
Moreover the optical quality was only so-so on my sample. This lens in useful
only to collectors in my opinion. This is perhaps the LAST OM lens I would
get in the 100-200 range.
The 180F2.8 (MC) is much better in an operational sense in my
opinion--even at 4/5 times the cost! Also I'd consider the 65-200 F4.0 OM
zoom and the Tamron 180F2.5 LD lens. I have the former and may get the latter.
I have no experience with the Vivitar 200F3.5, but Vivitar also made a
200F3.0 Series 1 lens.
