Q: Anyone done their own framing?
Lots. If you're not experienced, matte cutting can include a steep learning
curve.
Q: Anyone know of a good on-line supply house for frames and mats in the
US?
sorry, no
Q: Has anyone used plexiglass for glazing?
Just a little. If you're going to show, go for glass. Plexi isn't as clear
and can look "ripple-ey" when reflected light catches it just right.
Q: How does that compare to good quality glass?
see above. I've been getting regular float glass from a local glass shop.
It's cheap.
Q: Anyone framed Ilfochromes (Cibachromes) before? Any special
considerations with them compared to normal glossy prints?
Any photo print should be framed the same. Space surface away from glass. If
longetivity is a concern, use non-buffered archival board. The major
manufacturers of matte board all have some made for archival mounting of
photos, which is different from other art, due to buffering chemicals.

If using standard sizes, pre-cut mattes are available from craft stores.
Some of these stores also have decent frame prices from time to time, but
won't have archival matte board.

By the way, great photos. I'm going for the 18 and 7mm tube now!
