[OM] Mirroe Lens vs Telephoto lens..

Hello All,
            I'm new to this list and VERY new to photography. My dad gave me an
old OM10 camera with a few lenses and filters. and I'm considering buying a
500mm mirror lens.. my question is what is the difference between a 500mm mirror
lens and a 500mm telephoto lens?  Thanks for the help
