I don't have a MD-2 anymore so I might be wrong onthis, but if I recall
correctly that is the symbol that displays when you have the auto stop (when the
counter hits zero) disabled. I believe that if you cycle through the SET button
you will reach this after the 36 - 24 - 20 roll film size options.
