Since these db's in the most recent version don't allow for year
numbers above 1998 they do not suffer from a Y2K problem. They simply
can't...  ;-)
As a matter of fact the Olympus DB's with built-in clocks are also Y2K
proof.

The thumbweel DB's are pretty good for everything which needs other
ways of 'numbering' than by date/time. 
Setting a particular letter/number indication is much easier with the
DB-2 than with the LCD-type data-backs 3 and 4.
