Plus, was a photo magazine (Modern Photography?) columnist.  A
specialist in available light photography in the days of old (see his
chapter in The Leica Manual).  He was into Leica and gave road shows of
the Leica M and R Systems.  I went to one as an undergraduate and
drooled over the equipment.  But bought an OM instead.
