As Hans suggests and from my experience, I use the diffuser for anything wider than a 28mm. It depends on the subject as to whether the flash falloff is noticeable with a 24mm lens.

My advice? Use the diffuser with the 24 or 21. I got mine from John Hermanson. They're still available from Olympus new.

It should also be enough for a 24mm lens according to the pSIF.
There's also a Wide Adapter F280 that allows you to use a 21mm lens:
