I think the loss for NiMH batteries is something like 1.50er day.  An MD2
pack with NiMH's should easily be able to hold a charge suitable for at
least one roll of film after 30-60 days.  It sounds like your pack is
discharing too rapidly.  Perhaps one of the cells has developed an internal
short.
