Definitely sounds fungusy. Try a flashlight through the lens and you'll
really see something. I would try returning it first, since the fungus can
etch the coating. If all else fails, I should soon be recieving a 90/2 that
had enough fungus for a salad back from a list reccommended repair guy, and
I'll let you know how it looks. John H. also has his base prices for lens
