I have never heard of a version of the OM-2 that was not motor drive
capable and I don't think that it would be likely.  That being said, my
OM-2 (sn 1146xx) purchased new by me did not have any MD markings on it
when I purchased it. So not all OM-2 bodies were marked MD.
