You're off by an order of magnitude, Rich. I emailed the contact person for
the Skagit Valley festival yesterday afternoon and got this reply (was
inquiring as to bulb count as that was the original gauntlet thrown down)..
"We have no information on the bulb count. Each individual farmer (over 700
acres) would know what their count is."
So there you have it.

HAS to be more than that in the Skagit Valley. Approx. 7,000 acres of them,
on several farms. Some are grown for bulbs, some for cut flowers that are
shipped all over the nation.
