Didn't expect it to happen, but the 65-200 f4 I acquired a month or so ago
has become my favorite lens. Looking over the last 10 or 20 boxes of slides
I see it gets more use than all my other lenses combined. (Sigh. Gonna have
to watch that.) At any rate, heft wise, it seems marginal for use without a
tripod mount. I notice on the barrel right in front of the f-stop ring
there's a step and a flat area that looks ideally suited for such a mount.
Did the lens ever have one? Will another Oly tripod mount work?
