Yes, I've been dreaming about that 4000ED now for couple of months!
Just load that roll of transparency into the cartridge, set for 16x sampling
for minimal noise and max densities, 36 bits/pixel, start the scan and go to
bed, since it would probably take a couple of hours to do the roll on those
settings. Get up in the morning and you should have almost 4 gigabytes of
image data to review. Goodbye light table! Easy to find the ones you want to
keep and dump the rest.
Its going to take some really heavy rationalization to send the old LS2000
to ebay and spring for the new 4000ED. I think I'll wait and see if the
urge goes away...
