All these "email viruses". Don't you see that they're all due to
absurdly insecure behaviuor on the part of Microsoft's Outlook?
Why isn't anyone blaming the author of the software which lets this
crap get propagated?
That last virus was an "application/octet-stream" attachment (which
means "this is binary data of an unknown format"). Yet MS outlook
sees the .vbs on the end of the name and tries to run it as a basic
program and see what happens. The computer is deliberately doing
what it has been told NOT to do by the message itself.
When cars blow up in minor collisions, manufacturers get blamed. Why
not here?
Don't put up with crap software, guys. Vote with your wallets!
