I have a few Revue ML bodies here (= Praktika MTL 5 B, sold under the
photo-equipment label of a large German mail order house - they are my
cameras to leave in the car, on the bike, or generally take anywhere I feel
my precious OMs would be at risk, as, while being decent all-manual cameras,
they can be had for very little money; just bought a complete system in ex+
condition, body w/ instruction manual, 24mm/f4, 28mm/f2.8, 50mm/f1.7,
135mm/f2.8, rubber shade, skylight 1a, 49-52 mm stepup ring, all in a simple
camera bag, for the equivalent of approx. US $ 43.-, incl. shipping). I
think they were made in the 80s.
While they use foam in the hinge area, in the groove the back cover closes
into there is what looks like "hairs" that seem to be made of some textile
material, looking quite similar (though smaller and finer) to what I seem to
remember being used around swinging doors to prevent draft.
