Perhaps the correct term would be "delightfully pathetic."  I used to use
the argument that I could be buying excessive amounts of booze and chasing
strange women instead of doing photography stuff.... or perhaps be addicted
to gambling. That seemed to help. I think Mama is now well conditioned. Last
summer I bought a new jet river boat and her reaction was; "What the hell,
you can't take it with you." Got to love that lady. By the way Scott, I hope
you like that 300mm. I still have one and it is one of my favorites. /jnm
