Well, David, you've done it again. You and that 55/1.2 create some of the
best people pictures I've seen on the web.
The image at top center is outstanding:

Wonderful skin tones and detail in the young lady's eyes, hair and dress,
while maintaining a shallow depth of field to minimize background
distractions. In fact, the hint of detail preserved in the background
(e.g., seagull at middle left) really adds to the image. And a marvellous
job of exposing and scanning what must have been a very contrasty scene.
