Hi Folks,

After a decade or so long bout of Olympus-interruptus, I'm back on the
road to recovery with the help of things like this list... and eBay
(Lord.. Stop me before I bid again.)

I first got the OM bug some 25 or so years ago when a coworker showed me
his spanking new OM-1. I was shocked at the weight and size difference
to the Vivitar "tank" that I was using, and a few weeks later, I had my
first Olympus OM. I've shot many a roll of Ilford HP5 through it.

Throughout the years I added a second OM-1 body, an OM-2S w/ 50-F1.8, and
for just everyday hacking around an OM-10 (that's now completely locked
up). A couple of Winder-2's, a Vivitar 273 Thyristor flash, and a Zuiko
135-F2.8 lens also were added to the lot.

Eventually, I started to lose interest and it all has been sitting on a
closet shelf tucked away in a gear bag with silica gel desiccant packs.

But now with retirement approaching, and finding this list, it's
rekindled my flame so I've pull the bag off the shelf, and with the
recent additions of a T-32 flash and a Zuiko 35-70 F3.5 zoom off of eBay,
I've started using the equipment again.

So.. I have a couple of basic questions, to demonstrate my complete
ignorance on the matter.

What is the opinion of how Sigma lenses (in general) stacks up against
Zuiko and the other non Zuiko's (Tokina, etc), that I've seen on eBay ?

And... I've been reading the threads about making repairs to pin holes in
shutter curtains.. so here's my dumb question for the day.. what is
considered the "inside" surface of the shutter curtain where one would
apply the goop, the film plane or lens side ?

Thanks,

 Conrad
